The dream
Muinmos began with a simple but powerful idea: what if client onboarding in financial services could be instant, intelligent, and fully compliant?
In 2012, founder Remonda Kirketerp-Møller, former Head of Legal and Market Data at Saxo Bank, sketched out the vision for a “dream platform” - one that could cut through the complexity of global regulation and determine, in real time, whether a client could be onboarded.

What started as a concept born from firsthand frustration with fragmented compliance processes, has since evolved into a global RegTech platform serving financial institutions worldwide. The platform uses orchestrated AI in order to eliminate breakpoints and streamline workflows, improving not only customer experience but also Business and Compliance results.
So what does Muni... muini... mu-in-mos mean?

The name Muinmos is inspired by the Latin word somnium, meaning “dream,” reflecting our original vision to create a dream onboarding platform.

Passion in everything we do
From the beginning, Muinmos was built by people with a deep understanding of financial markets and compliance, and a genuine passion for solving the areas' most complex challenges. Drawing on decades of experience across legal, compliance, and trading environments, the team set out to solve what they identified as two fundamental industry challenges:
- the growing cost and complexity of compliance; and
- the friction it creates in the client experience.
After years of R&D, Muinmos developed a solution that not only covers all parts of KYC, KYB and AML onboarding - but also parts of the onboarding process others have not previously covered in an automated solution, such as client categorisation, and suitability and appropriateness assessments. The AI automation of these parts of the onboarding journey is a key component in strengthening investor protection and customer experience alike.
